Immunisation

Every Wednesday (except public holidays) the City of Launceston conducts free immunisation sessions for funded vaccines according to the National Immunisation Program Schedule.

Immunisation sessions location and times
To access our Immunisation sessions, your Medicare number must be provided. 

**Please note the following changes to immunisation clinics due to the Christmas/New Year holidays:

  • Town Hall clinics will NOT be held on Wednesday 28 December 2016 or Wednesday 4 January 2017 and will recommence on Wednesday 11 January 2017.
  • Mowbray and Ravenswood clinics will NOT be held on Tuesday 10 January 2017 and will recommence on Tuesday 14 February 2017.

 

Venue: Council Customer Service Centre, Town Hall St John Street, Launceston
Time: Every Wednesday (except public holidays) 10am until 11am
Appointments are unnecessary, the service is free and the clinic is open during all school holidays.

Venue: Mowbray Health Clinic, Corner Jellico and Beatty Streets, Mowbray (next to the Primary School)
Time: The second Tuesday of each month from 10am until 11am
Appointments are unnecessary, the service is free and the clinic operates every month with the exception of January.

Venue: Ravenswood Child and Family Centre, 8 Prossers Forest Road, Ravenswood. 
Time: The second Tuesday of each month 11.30 until 12pm
Appointments are unnecessary, the service is free and the clinic operates every month with the exception of January. 

School Immunisation Program

The City of Launceston's immunisation team also offers a school based immunisation program each year.

Privacy statement - on application, a person's details will only be released to the person directly, or if the child is under 18 years of age, to the child's lawful guardian/s. In cases where the application is made by a person other than the child/person, documentation may be requested to confirm the applicant's relationship to the child/person.
