City of Launceston Handbell Choir PDF Print E-mail

The City of Launceston Handbell Choir occasionally performs at civic functions and travelled to the Handbell Society of Australasia 24th Annual Festival in 2007 to represent Launceston.

In 2003 Launceston City Council purchased the John Lees Memorial Handbells and the City of Launceston Handbell Choir was formed.

The 37 bell set has a range of three octaves and is played in the method known as 'in hand ringing', where each ringer is responsible for ringing up to four separate bells.

For more information on the Handbell Choir, please contact the musical director, Craig Stenton on (03) 6334 4874 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
