Digital Connections

Launceston residents are now able to receive information as it happens, as well as customise the information they want to receive from us.

Sign up, LIKE, or follow any of our facilities for the latest information on what is happening.

Have an idea and want it to get to the person best equipped to respond?

Then simply email us, or take advantage of all the other ways you can connect with the Launceston City Council below.

1.  The Council's online community engagement platform - Your Voice. Your Launceston.

Your Voice. Your Launceston. is an online engagement tool that enables you to have a say about key Council projects and strategies in the Launceston municipality. You can read about current projects, download relevant documents and pictures, complete short surveys, read about key dates like public meetings and submission deadlines as well as participate in public forums.

If you don't want to join in that's fine - you can just read what others have to say. You can join in at any time of the day, on any day of the week. Your Voice. Your Launceston. is a way of discussing things that matter to you. You can access Your Voice. Your Launceston. via the button on our homepage or by going direct to the Your Voice. Your Launceston website.

is a free app for iPhones or Android smartphones that lets you report issues and provide feedback to the Council in under 30 seconds.  Capture via photo and report on common issues such as litter, broken pavement, damaged playground equipment, etc.  Your report is sent from the app using your email address so that the council can respond directly to you to solve the issue.  To install the app simply search for Snap Send Solve in Apple's app store for iPhones, or Google Play for Android smartphones.  Find out more and see the app in action.

Start Something Special in Launceston Tasmania is an app developed by the Council's Launceston Travel and Information Centre and has the latest information on accommodation, transport, services and things to see and do while in Launceston and the north.

7.  Council Meetings Live Streaming
In the interest of openness and transparency and encouraging community involvement in decision making, each Council meeting is streamed live to the internet.  The recordings begin at the start of each meeting and stop at the beginning of the Closed Council agenda items.  Access the live audio here.
