Basin Pool
The Basin Pool was built in 1937 at the Cataract Gorge Reserve first basin by the Launceston City Council. It was extended to Olympic size in 1950. The pool was built after the beach at Royal Park was washed away in the 1929 floods. Entry to the Basin Pool is free.
