Youth Week Celebrations

Published on 21 March 2017

As part of celebrations for National Youth Week, City of Launceston, the Youth Advisory Group and members for the Northern Youth Coordinating Committee are opening a pop up venue called YELL! (Youth Events in a Little Location) from April 1-8 2017.

Located at 70A Brisbane Street (opposite MOJO Music), YELL! is a celebration of young people's creative passions with different activities happening each day of National Youth Week. Each activity is youth-led and is accessible to young people by running on weekends and after school hours.

YELL! is an opportunity for young people in Launceston to showcase their creative abilities, local small enterprise and leadership skills in order to provide a fun and interesting experience in Launceston.

In addition to the pop up venue, a Youth Busker Competition with guest judges will run in the Quadrant Mall as part of City Prom's Crazy Day Sales entertainment on Saturday April 1.
