Community Satisfaction Survey

Community feedback plays an important role in shaping local services. The City of Launceston is working with independent researchers, Taverner Research Group, to better understand community experiences and satisfaction.

Taverner Research Group will carry out a telephone survey on Council’s behalf, calling a random selection of residents from Monday 4 May to  Saturday 23 May 2026.

The survey will ask about people’s experiences with Council services and facilities and measure the community's satisfaction. Taking part helps ensure the voices of different ages, suburbs, and households are represented and helps Council make decisions based on real community feedback rather than assumptions.

The survey includes 500 residents, which is a standard and reliable sample size for a city of Launceston’s size and allows the results to accurately represent community views without needing to survey everyone.

Participants are randomly selected to achieve a broad mix of ages and genders.
