NTCA Sports Complex Redevelopment

The City of Launceston has completed the design for the redevelopment of the NTCA Sports Complex.
The NTCA Sports Complex is an important regional sporting facility. The redevelopment will deliver a modern community sports precinct with improved facilities, accessibility and spaces for clubs, community groups and visitors.
The City of Launceston will submit an application to the upcoming Growing Regions Program Round 3; seeking the financial support from the Australian Government for construction.

Why upgrade the NTCA Sports Complex?
The NTCA Sports Complex is Australia's oldest first-class cricket ground and an important community sports venue.
The facilities are ageing and no longer meet current expectations. The redevelopment will provide modern, accessible and inclusive facilities that support sport, recreation and community use.
What will the redevelopment include?
The project will deliver:

- Upgraded spectator facilities
- Better parking and site access
Who is delivering the project?
The project is being led by the City of Launceston.

The project will require funding from the City of Launceston, and an application will be made to the Australian Government via the upcoming Growing Regions Program - Round 3.

- More than 22 local sporting clubs and over 1,900 participants and members
- Schools and community groups
- Volunteers and visitors to the facility

- The broader Northern Tasmanian community

Yes. Design work is complete and the project is shovel ready.
The tender for construction can begin once funding is secured.
