The information below is for warnings, outages and interruptions to key services and facilities operated by City of Launceston.

To report an issue, please use our Report an Issue webform or contact our Customer Service Centre on (03) 6323 3000.

In the case of an emergency, please contact Tasmania Police or dial 000.

Current interruptions

Cataract Gorge causeway closure

The causeway at the Cataract Gorge is closed due to water release in the Trevallyn Dam by Hydro Tasmania.

Cataract Gorge Inclinator: temporary closure

The First Basin Inclinator is currently not operating. Technicians are working to restore the service as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience as we work to get the Inclinator operational again.
