Test results from water samples taken by City of Launceston officers over the weekend show water quality in the North Esk at Corra Linn is back to acceptable quality.

Late last week samples from the North Esk at Corra Linn taken as part of the City of Launceston's recreational waterway testing program showed elevated levels of enterococci bacteria.

While Corra Linn is not managed by the Council, it is included in the Council's testing program, which sees popular swimming spots across the municipality tested weekly over summer.

The City of Launceston will continue to test swimming spots and advise when water quality is poor.

Signs at Corra Linn warning of poor water quality will be removed today.
