Families with loved ones interred at Carr Villa Memorial Park's Lawn Plaque and Limited Monumental cemeteries are being asked to remove glass, ceramic or other breakable items from plots in coming weeks.
Carr Villa Memorial Park Business Leader Eve Gibbons said many families placed tribute items to their loved ones in the Lawn Plaque and Limited Monumental cemeteries.
However, items like glass and ceramic were often broken in storms and windy conditions, which then became a hazard for visitors, wildlife or staff conducting general maintenance like lawn mowing.
Any family members with questions or concerns are welcome to contact Carr Villa Memorial Park, with our friendly staff on site in the office each weekday.
On Saturday, July 27 between 10am and 2pm, Carr Villa Memorial Park staff will also be on hand to answer any questions from family members and to help dispose of any unwanted tribute items.
More information is available on the Carr Villa Memorial Park website.
