Destination Partnership Grant

These grants support events that attract visitation to Launceston and deliver strong economic, tourism and profile outcomes for the city.

Funding is provided through a partnership approach for events that demonstrate strategic alignment and the ability to deliver measurable impact at scale. Applicants must provide credible evidence of their ability to attract non-local audiences and generate visitor and economic outcomes, such as overnight stays, visitor spend and increased destination profile.

Funding levels will vary depending on the scope and impact of the event, with applicants required to demonstrate the need for support and the outcomes that will be achieved.

If you’re considering applying for a Destination Partnership Grant, we strongly recommend a conversation with Council before your EOI. This helps ensure your event aligns with the right funding stream and gives you early guidance on eligibility, readiness and next steps.

Funding levels will vary depending on the scope and potential of the concept, with applicants required to demonstrate need, capacity to deliver, and a well-considered approach to growth and sustainability. Multi-year funding may be considered on a case-by-case basis where longer-term impact can be demonstrated.
