City of Launceston crews had a very busy day in the wake of this morning's storm, responding to nearly 70 customer service requests.

The vast majority of these were related to downed trees or tree limbs, as well as numerous other fallen trees and storm damage across the municipality.

We still have a lot of cleaning up to do. We'll be diverting resources for the next two days towards cleanup operations, and we ask for your patience while we get the job done.

If you see fallen trees or tree limbs on roads or in Council parks and reserves, you can report them to our customer service team on 6323 3000.

There are damaged trees in many of our parks, including Princes Square, and we'll attempt to get to them as soon as we can.

In the meantime, please heed any closures or warning signage, and don't hesitate to let us know if you think there's something we've missed.
