Burns to be undertaken at Meadow Ridge Reserve

The City of Launceston advises that small, controlled pile burns will be undertaken at Meadow Ridge Reserve in Kings Meadows in the coming weeks as part of the Council’s seasonal bushfire mitigation program.

The objective is to reduce ground fuel loads, lowering bushfire risk ahead of the warmer summer months.

Nearby residents will receive written notification in advance of the planned burns. Temporary signage will also be displayed on-site during the activity period.

The City of Launceston thanks the community for its understanding and cooperation while these important risk-reduction works are undertaken.
