Future Youth Symposium to explore youth issues

Published on 20 January 2023

Launceston residents aged between 12 and 25 are invited to the Future Youth Symposium on Tuesday, January 31 at the Town Hall between 10.30am and 3.30pm.

The Future Youth Symposium will feature representatives from Headspace, MRC Tas, Working It Out, The Mish, Ravenswood Community Health Centre, the Mental Health Council of Tasmania and the City of Launceston's Youth Advisory Group.

Launceston Mayor Danny Gibson said the Future Youth Symposium was designed as a way for Launceston's young people to explore youth issues, connect with youth organisations and hear about their activities.

"If you're a young person who is passionate about the future of Northern Tasmania, this is a wonderful opportunity to explore pathways and opportunities with a range of local community organisations and likeminded members of our community," Mayor Gibson said.

"The event will explore many topics from politics to mental health, and from youth issues to public art.

"We look forward to young people from across Northern Tasmania registering for this free event."
