Myrtle Park is open for camping via reserved bookings only.
Before You Book
To help ensure everyone enjoys their stay at Myrtle Park Campground, please take a moment to read the following information before making a booking.
- Self check-in: Myrtle Park operates as a self-service campground. You will receive a boom gate access PIN with your booking confirmation. Mobile phone coverage is limited within the campground, so please ensure you have recorded your PIN before you arrive
- Bookings: Campsites are subject to availability and must be booked online prior to arrival
- Payment: Full payment is required at the time of booking
- Length of stay: The maximum consecutive stay is 14 nights
- Booking confirmation: All bookings will be confirmed via email
- Minimum age: You must be 18 years or older to make a booking
- Fire pits: Some campsites include a fire pit. If you wish to book one of these sites, please ensure you select the appropriate campsite during the booking process
During Your Stay
To help keep Myrtle Park safe, welcoming and enjoyable for everyone, we ask that all visitors:
- Respect other campers and nearby residents
- Keep noise to a minimum between 10.00pm and 7.00am
- Camp only within your allocated campsite and please vacate your campsite by 10.00am on the final day of your booking to allow it to be prepared for incoming visitors
- Leave all facilities clean and tidy for the next visitor
- Dispose of rubbish in the provided bins (or take it with you if bins are unavailable)
- Respect the natural environment by staying on designated roads and camping areas
- Follow all directions provided by Council staff and emergency services
Important Information
To help ensure a safe and enjoyable stay, please note the following:
- Pets are welcome; however, they must remain under effective control at all times and be kept on a lead. Please note that pets are not permitted in some areas of Myrtle Park, which are clearly signposted
- A limited supply of potable drinking water is available within the campground. This water is provided for drinking and basic visitor needs only and is not suitable for filling caravan or motorhome water tanks. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own drinking water, particularly during the warmer months when rainfall is low
- An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the portico of the Myrtle Park Community Hall. In the event of a medical emergency, call 000 immediately before retrieving the AED
- The Myrtle Park Kiosk is not currently operating. Please ensure you bring all food, drinks and other consumables required for the duration of your stay
- The Myrtle Park Community Hall is available for hire through Council's online booking system, (Bookable - The Hall needs to be added to bookable) and is booked separately from campground reservations
- The City of Launceston reserves the right to refuse entry or require visitors to leave the campground where behaviour is unsafe, unlawful or inconsistent with the Campground Conditions of Use
