Myrtle Park is open for camping via reserved bookings only.

Before You Book

To help ensure everyone enjoys their stay at Myrtle Park Campground, please take a moment to read the following information before making a booking.

• Self check-in: Myrtle Park operates as a self-service campground. You will receive an access PIN with your booking confirmation. Mobile phone coverage is limited within the campground, so please ensure you have recorded your PIN before you arrive
• Bookings: Campsites are subject to availability and must be booked online prior to arrival
• Payment: Full payment is required at the time of booking
• Length of stay: The maximum consecutive stay is 14 nights
• Booking confirmation: All bookings will be confirmed via email
• Minimum age: You must be 18 years or older to make a booking
• Fire pits: Some campsites include a fire pit. If you wish to book one of these sites, please ensure you select the appropriate campsite during the booking process

Important Information

To help ensure a safe and enjoyable stay, please note the following:

• Pets are welcome; however, they must remain under effective control at all times and be kept on a lead. Please note that pets are not permitted in some areas of Myrtle Park, which are clearly signposted
• A limited supply of potable drinking water is available within the campground. This water is provided for drinking and basic visitor needs only and is not suitable for filling caravan or motorhome water tanks. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own drinking water, particularly during the warmer months when rainfall is low
• An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the portico of the Myrtle Park Community Hall. In the event of a medical emergency, call 000 immediately before retrieving the AED
• The Myrtle Park Kiosk is not currently operating. Please ensure you bring all food, drinks and other consumables required for the duration of your stay
• The Myrtle Park Community Hall is available for hire through Council's online booking system and is booked separately from campground reservations
• The City of Launceston reserves the right to refuse entry or require visitors to leave the campground where behaviour is unsafe, unlawful or inconsistent with the Campground Conditions of Use

Help Keep Myrtle Park Beautiful

Myrtle Park is a shared community asset enjoyed by locals and visitors alike. By respecting the campground, caring for the facilities and protecting the surrounding environment, you are helping to ensure Myrtle Park remains a safe, welcoming and enjoyable destination for future generations.

• Drive carefully at a maximum speed of 5 km/h (walking pace) and watch for pedestrians and wildlife. 
• Camp only within your allocated campsite. 
• Pets are permitted unless otherwise signposted but must be restrained. 
• Quiet hours: 10pm to 7am.
• Keep shared facilities clean and tidy. 
• Dispose of rubbish and recycling responsibly. 
• Drinking water is available. Water marked as non-potable is not suitable for drinking or filling tanks in caravans and motor homes. 
• Maximum stay is 14 consecutive nights. Contact us within business hours if you wish to extend your stay. Extensions are subject to campsite availability.
• Respect the natural environment by staying on designated roads and camping areas.
• Follow all directions provided by Council staff and emergency services.

Campfire rules:

• Bring your own firewood. Do not collect firewood or vegetation from the park. 
• Permitted in designated or approved portable fire pits only. 
• Fully extinguish fires with water before leaving or sleeping. 

Before you arrive 

• Print or download your booking confirmation with your site number and access PIN as phone reception is limited.
• Check current weather conditions and Tasmania Fire Service (TFS) restrictions.
• Please ensure you read and follow all campground rules (listed in the tab above). 

Accessing your campsite

1.  Enter using the access PIN in your booking confirmation.
2.  Follow the map to your allocated campsite and set up within it. Contact the City of Launceston if you cannot access the campground or your site is occupied. 

Emergency information 

• In an emergency, call 000. 
• Monitor TasALERT and ABC Local Radio for current warnings and advice. 
• An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) located at Myrtle Park Hall (see map).  

Before you leave

✓   Remove all belongings
✓   Dispose of rubbish and recycling
✓   Leave your campsite and shared facilities clean and tidy
