Heritage Sketch!

Heritage Sketch 2025

Join us in capturing the heart and soul of Launceston's heritage sites and showcasing the treasures that bring us together as a community.

Heritage Sketch! is an exciting art competition open to children and young people from Kinder to Year 12.

Launceston is a city steeped in history, nestled amidst breathtaking natural landscapes, and filled with vibrant neighbourhoods and cherished landmarks. This competition invites budding young creatives of all skill levels to explore and share their unique perspectives on the places that hold a special significance in our community.

Whether it's the iconic Cataract Gorge, the historic architecture of the CBD, the welcoming parks, or the hidden gems that make Launceston unique, we invite you to showcase the essence of what makes our community truly special through art.

This year's theme is: 'Our place, our stories'
Our heritage is part of who we are. It is what we inherit, appreciate today, and is important to protect and pass onto future generations. Heritage does not have to be old; it is anything that we value and identify as worth protecting for appreciation now and into the future.
