Council meetings are open to the public, and your attendance is welcomed.
Council meetings are held at the Town Hall, 18-28 St John Street, Launceston.
Visitor / Contractor Sign-In and Induction Process at Town Hall and Annexe
The City of Launceston maintains an induction and sign-in process for all visitors entering any part of the Town Hall and Annexe buildings (other than those solely visiting the public Customer Service Centre).
This induction and sign-in process applies to people who are:
Attending Council meetings or Civic Receptions at the Town Hall
Meeting with Councillors or staff in meeting rooms at the Town Hall or Annexe
Contractors, service providers and tradespeople working in the Town Hall or Annexe
How it works:
When you arrive at the Town Hall, please go straight to the Customer Service Centre on the ground floor of the Town Hall.
Use the new self-service kiosk to sign in – it only takes a moment and will print your own visitor sticker.
Our friendly Customer Service team is right there if you need any help with the kiosk.
Why we’ve introduced this system:
It helps us meet our emergency and safety obligations – in the rare event of an evacuation or incident, we’ll know exactly who is in the building so we can keep everyone safe.
At the City of Launceston, one of our core values is 'We go home safe and well' – and that absolutely includes you, our community visitors.
Thank you for your cooperation. We look forward to welcoming you to the Town Hall and Annexe.
