Campfire Ban

From 2.00am on Monday 26 October 2026, campfires will be prohibited at Myrtle Park and Lilydale Falls.

The City of Launceston is implementing the ban in line with the statewide campfire ban introduced across Parks and Wildlife Service-managed conservation areas.

Visitors are reminded that campfires, pot fires and other solid fuel stoves are not permitted during this period. Gas stoves and gas barbecues are permitted.

Please plan accordingly and help protect our parks, natural areas and local communities.
