Foo Fighters Concert - Traffic Information

Road Closure: Invermay Road, Invermay

Notice is given in accordance with Section 19 of the Local Government (Highways Act) 1982 of the intention to close the part of the following street for: Foo Fighters Concert at UTAS Stadium

Road to be closed: Invermay Road, between Forster Street and Lindsay Street

Closure date and time: From 12pm Saturday 24 January to 4.00am Sunday 25 January 2026.

Car Park Closures

Northern Inveresk car park
Closed to the public from 7pm Friday 23 January until 6am Sunday 25 January.

Southern Inveresk car park
Closed to the general public access from 12pm Saturday 24 January until 6am Sunday 25 January.

Street parking
Street parking spaces on Invermay Road between Forster Street and Lindsay Street will be unavailable from 6am Saturday 24 January until 6am Sunday 25 January.

Parking Locations and Fees

Accessible concert parking
Accessible parking for the concert will be available to Accessible ticketholders in the Southern Inveresk carpark. For information, please contact UTAS Stadium.

After-hours access to CBD multistorey car parks
The Paterson Street East, Paterson Street West and Elizabeth Street multistorey car parks will remain accessible overnight (24 January to 25 January) enabling patrons to exit their vehicles after standard car park closing hours.

Additional parking at Churchill Park
The parking area at Churchill Park Sports Complex (off Churchill Park Drive, Invermay) will remain open overnight (24 January to 25 January) for the concert. Vehicles can enter and exit freely until 8.00pm Sunday 25 January.


Queen Victoria Museum & Art Gallery

The Museum at Inveresk is open 10am - 5pm on Saturday 24 January. Alternative parking is available within walking distance in the Launceston CBD. Details of car parks operated by the City of Launceston are listed on the Parking Locations and Fees page.
