Lawrence Vale Road and Meredith Crescent Nature Strip Mowing

The City of Launceston will be carrying out nature strip mowing along sections of Lawrence Vale Road and Meredith Crescent on Wednesday 11 February 2026.

Due to the size of the machinery required, Lawrence Vale Road will be closed to non-local traffic between Powena Street and Leonard Street from 8am to 12pm, while mowing activities are undertaken in the area. Detours will be in place, and residential access will be maintained. Traffic controllers will be on-site to assist residents as needed.

Additional mowing will take place between No. 112 and No. 118 Lawrence Vale Road, with the road remaining open in this area.

Work will also occur on Meredith Crescent, in front of No. 40 and No. 46, with no road closure required.

Please note that all works are weather dependent and may be rescheduled to the next suitable day if required. We appreciate your patience and understanding while these important maintenance activities are carried out.
