Concession and Charitable Organisation Rates
The City of Launceston offers various forms of assistance for concession rates and charitable organisation rates, read more below for more information.
As at 1 July 2022, if you own and occupy a property as your principal place of residence, are liable for paying rates and hold a Pensioner Concession Card, Department of Veteran Affairs Card or a Health Care Card, you may be eligible to apply for a rate remission.
For existing pensioners verified by Centrelink or the Department of Veterans' Affairs, that have made a successful Rates Remission application - the remission will automatically show as a reduction on your rates notice.
New pensioners should complete a Rates Remission Application Form. Please return one of the completed forms below to firstname.lastname@example.org. Alternatively, you can request, complete or submit your form at our Customer Service Centre.
