Princes Square
Originally a brickfield and site of past military drills, rowdy political meetings and hanging.
Now a historic park that includes mature trees, many planted by royalty, fountain and statue of Dr William Russ Pugh, the first to use general anaesthetic in the Southern Hemisphere for surgical operation.
