Brooklyn Road Roadworks

Crossroads Civil Construction are set to commence roadworks on Brooklyn Road in Youngtown during the week starting Monday 19 February 2024, for a period of 10 weeks.

It is important to note that dates are approximate. Weather and unforeseen events may alter the programming.

The existing infrastructure on Brooklyn Road has reached the end of its life and will be renewed from Alma Street to No.34 Brooklyn Road.

This project will involve the following:

  • Upgrades to the drainage infrastructure
  • Replacement of kerb and channel, some driveways and footpaths

  • Resealing of the road surface.

During the works, there may be minor traffic delays and construction-related noise. Property access will be maintained throughout the project, and kerbside waste collection will proceed as normal.
