Sandown Road Rehabilitation

City of Launceston contractors are set to commence road rehabilitation works in Sandown Road, Norwood. Stage one of this upcoming project is scheduled to begin on Monday 23 October 2023 and is expected to be carried out up to the Christmas break on the 22 December 2023. Stage two works are expected to begin in early 2024.

This project will involve the following:

  • Installation of new drainage, footpaths and kerb and channel; and
  • Reconstruction of the road base, along with road surface sealing.

Property access will be maintained throughout the duration of the works, and kerbside waste collection will proceed as normal.
