McGrath Launceston Running Festival 2024

Launceston's largest mass participation running event. It's Australia's fastest course and in 2024 includes a World Athletics Label for the first time.

The McGrath Launceston Running Festival has built a reputation amongst the Tasmanian and Australian running community as one of the fastest road races in the Southern Hemisphere. Since 2007 thousands of runners from around Australia have come to #RunLaunnie and produce a personal best.

We're also the largest mass participation sporting event in Northern Tasmania, with upwards of 2000 runners and walkers lining up across the four events on offer over the weekend.

A 2 day festival of running, including the following events;

Saturday 1st June
• Liv-eat Competitive 1-Mile – 3:00pm Start
• Liv-eat Community 1-Mile – 3:15pm Start
• 5km – 3:45pm Start

Sunday 2nd June
• Think Big Half Marathon – 8:00am Start
• Launceston 10km – 10:15am Start
