Edinburgh Street Roadworks

Pro Kerb Tasmania are set to commence road rehabilitation works in Edinburgh Street, Kings Meadows, on Monday 12 February 2024, with works expected to be carried out over a 10-week period.

It is important to note that dates are approximate. Weather and unforeseen events may alter the programming.

The existing infrastructure on Edinburgh Street has reached the end of its life, and the full length between Nunamina Avenue and Quarantine Road will be renewed.

This project will be split into three stages, starting from Nunamina Avenue and working through to Quarantine Road.

This project will involve the following:

  • Upgrades to the existing stormwater infrastructure
  • Replacement of kerb and channel, some driveways and footpaths
  • Topsoiling and seeding of nature strip areas

  • Resealing of the road surface and rehabilitation of road pavement in some sections.

During the works, there may be minor traffic disruptions and construction-related noise. Property access will be maintained throughout the project, and kerbside waste collection will proceed as normal.
